Frequently Asked Questions

School Holiday Programs

Elite Cricket runs programs for different age groups.

  • Ages 6 – 11 are suited to Elite Cricket’s Junior School Holiday Program
  • Ages 12 – 15 can attend our Senior High Performance Programs
  • Ages 10 – 16 can attend our Academy’s

There may be some players who are suitable to participate in programs out of their age group and exceptions for advanced young players or older beginners can usually be accommodated. Please call us prior to enrolment to discuss.

What time does Elite Cricket camps start and finish?

Our School Holiday Camps start at 9:00am and finish at 3:00pm. We ask that you arrive at 8:45 am at the latest so we can get the players signed in and ready for the day. Early drop off is from 8:30am but please call us if you need to arrange an earlier drop off time.

Yes. We welcome and encourage girls to all of Elite’s programs. This really goes without saying!

We work on a ratio of 1 coach to 8-10 players for our School Holiday Cricket Camps.

No. We welcome players of all ages and skill levels. Only for our advanced Academy’s would you need some playing experience.

Players are grouped initially by age and according to the information on the program enrolment form. You are also asked to indicate any friends who are attending and as long as they are of similar age and ability will be grouped with their friends.

Because of our small group sizes we usually have the flexibility to move players to different groups depending on their ability, but have found that ability within each group is usually diverse and that moving groups once we have started is unnecessary. However the players are instructed at the beginning of the program to speak to their coach and/or the program manager on the day if they are not happy or feel they belong in a different group.

Two Decades of Cricket Excellence

Jason Krejza is an off-spinning, batting all-rounder who has represented Australia in both Test Match and One Day International cricket. He famously debuted in the 2008 Test Series in India taking 12 wickets, including 8 wickets in the first innings alone – gaining entry into the record books.

Private Individual Coaching

Private Individual Coaching has 3 different coaching options: 1:1, 2:1 and group sessions for 3 kids.

It is an intensive expert coaching program for individuals and groups of players of all ages and experience that focuses on acquiring and mastering critical technical and game sense skills to optimise performance.

It’s great for building confidence in your own game A way to learn, improve and hone new skills away from the pressure of match play
It’s where you can correct bad techniques (particularly those that may cause injury) before they become an integral part of your game and are difficult to change

Sessions are 45 minutes long

You can book for one session or as many as you like however we recommend a minimum of 5 sessions over consecutive weeks to enable a stronger understanding and knowledge of your game

The coach will carry out an analysis of current tactics and technique and make some recommendations, which we can work on in the program. For a batting session you will spend the 45 minutes in the net batting with a bowling machine, doing drills or having ‘throw-downs’. For a bowling session the coach will initially video your action and make recommendations based on their analysis

See our locations page on the website

Monday afternoon, Tuesday afternoon, Wednesday afternoon, Friday afternoon and Sunday mornings.

If you would like to discuss coaching on a Saturday, please contact us to discuss this option.  We can come out to you at a cricketing venue but there will an extra travel charge.

You will need to bring your cricket gear, particularly protective equipment such as thigh pad, helmet, box, pads etc. Bowlers need no equipment.

Comfortable exercise equipment and non-spike cricket shoes or trainers

As we book out the net and coach for your particular session, should you not be able to make the session we require notice of 48 hours so we can cancel or fill your place. Should we not receive 48 hours notice, you will be required to pay for that session.

Jason Krejza oversees almost all of the sessions throughout the year.  All our coaches are mentored by Jason and he hand selects all the coaches who work for Elite Cricket.  Jason educates them to coach all players with the Elite Cricket philosophy in mind.  This ensures a consistent coaching method throughout.
